Installation issues and noisy microwave

I bought the microwave on May 1st and paid for installation from LG.com. The delivery of the unit was okay took more than 6 days but the delivery company did not install it. Both LG and the delivery company kept passing the buck on who was actually going to install it. After 12 phone calls and 6 hours on the phone with support I got it installed. The microwave works but is extremely loud and the inside compartment is smaller than I expected. I hope this doesnt break down because I have nightmares about dealing with another support person -- all polite but completely wrong about things -- they just say what you want to hear so you get off the phone.

I love that the control pad lights up with a touch. The light is bright and the vent fan is strong. The add 30 seconds feature is beneficial. It heats my food quickly and evenly which is a big plus. I also love that it has several different settings that allow me to cook different types of food without any hassle. Theres a setting for melting butter The design is sleek and modern and it fits perfectly in my kitchen.

Great product lousey shipping policy

Purchased 5 kitchen units November 25 2022 promised for January 11 2023. Would not ship until all 5 were in and items on backorder changed. Finally received March 17. Problem was that on January 9th we were told to be ready for delivery on January 11th so we had old units removed. Without kitchen appliances for 3 months. Had 4 other reschedules.

Two of the best features are the controls on the bottom of the microwave rather than on the side and the range exhaust fan that pops open to cover the front range burners. My wife is short so the controls on the bottom make it easier for her to use without using a stool. Additionally we like that the controls lighting turn off after a few minutes after use so that all you see is the clock.

Worked great until it didnt.

Bought installed 3 years ago and now the display does not work. We can still use the microwave but only if we can remember the sequence of buttons needed for anything other than extra 30 seconds. Costs too much to repair so will have to replace. What a wasteful use of resources

I have had this microwave for 3 weeks and find it so much better than my previous microwave. The modern slike look of tge door is outstanding. It cooks rapidly and the reheat function is very good. It uses a senaor of steam to know when it shut off and does not cook the leftovers. The screen is easy to read and very easy to the touch to have it work.

I just had to get an LG microwave oven

I moved into my new house in March of 2022. My house was new and therefore my microwave oven was new. It wasnt an LG. I had an LG in the house I moved from and truly missed it. I thought Ill just try this one out for a while and see how it works. Well I missed my LG and had to have it again. Great look but poor ventilation

Poor bottom suction lost to the top of the unit. There is a design issue with the unit when installed for roof venting default installation per installation manual. A lot of air is pulled from the top of the unit the charcoal filter area - see picture making the bottom suction really low After discussing with LG over chat there is no missing piece on my unit so it is a design issue. Will likely return and get a different brand

I love this microwave. I bought it mostly because of the extendavent but there is soooo much more to love. The controls are intuitive and so easy to use. Love the way it looks no handle or buttonsjust an expanse of black glass with a thin stainless frame. One of the features was easy cleanfingerprints just wipe off with a kitchen towel. They really do.

Great features easy to use

I love the sleek look of this microwave in my kitchen. My only complaint is that the template for installation was not correct and made installation a bit of an issue. However once installed the microwave works like a charm I love that the guide is inside the door and Im not fumbling through a book to decipher the elusive codes as I did with my former product. There are many more options with this unit than my previously owned one and Im sure some Ill likely use very little if at all. BUT I love that I can now melt butter without over or under doing it It was a bit tricky to figure out how to get the display lights to engage without first opening the door and I discovered that quite by accident. Using at least 3 fingers swipe slowly right to left across the area where the display is located at the bottom of the door and the panel will engage. It might take a few tries until you get the hang of it but if works every time

I like the sleek design and control panel being hidden. However I hate when you have to press a few times to hit a butt9n in order for the panel to appear. It might be operator error. With having two kids I also didnt think about all the fingerprints so its constantly being cleaned.

Very much so far like SO much about this microwave. A second one from LG the first lasted 7 years and similar. Of course I wanted another. Sleek in looks and design many features I wanted were on this one. Easy to use and quick to learn whats not to like? I have a cabinet right next to where this microwave is mounted. The indentation which is on the right side of the microwave door is then blocked. In order to open it you must pull on the very top right corner. Man that stinks... I thought but I misread the tab at the bottom of the door opened it. No that just pops out the bottom vents. Trying to find a workaround or some sort of solution as it was totally installed before we discovered it. I know I am not the only one that has a cabinet flanking the stove so this should be brought to everyones attention.

So far I am very impressed with a microwave. The extended vent feature is great and not sure why this wasnt always one. Works great with any oven. The large inside capacity is great too. Still trying to figure out how to light up the buttons without opening the door. The LED oven light makes a huge difference our previous model was very dim. The slim design is very appealing and I really like the no handle feature. I really have nothing bad to say about it. Looking forward to many years of use.

Great above range microwave extendable exhaust

The LG above the range microwave oven is a nice improvement to my kitchen. The extendable exhaust hood makes a difference when cooking to exhaust food odors out of the house. The one major room for improvement related to installation is to replace the paper template with a rigid template such as a cardboard template. I had to use wood filler on the drilled cabinet holes due to the template not being accurate.

This is a sleek nice microwave. The command buttons are digital and disappear when not in use - only clock display remains on -- which adds to the shiny and clean appearance. I really like the quick reference guide for commands/cycles found inside when door is opened. The only suggestion I have: 1. The view window is too high - I am average height of 55 and I still have to get on tippy toes to see inside microwave. Recommendation to LG: lower the window in order to view inside more comfortably. Note: anticipating to receive a sweepstakes entry for review

We selected this microwave mostly for the location of the control panel which is along the bottom of the door rather than being aligned top to bottom along one side. This makes it much more usable for us. Then we found all the extra features that are benefits we didnt expect.
