These are way too hard to get on. I feel like Im going to break the socket because you have to push and turn so hard to gets these to lock in. I bought this from LG to see if their filter went on any easier and it didnt. Ill be going back to off brand filters and saving a whole lot of money.

I have used off brand and LG filters the last off brand didnt fit so I came here to order these. Tried to install today didnt fit so I compared to the last one thst fit and decided to cut the tabs a bit. Others here show photos of the difference in the tabs. My photo here shows what worked to make it fit for me. Used blade knife to cut off the bottom right corners of both tabs. Still took some effort to install but got it in Please improve/restore the design LG

We have a brand new LG signature kitchen suite refrigerator. It came time to change the filter and we called customer support to make sure we get the right one. We were told that the filter we have LT1000P-S was discontinued and we were sent the filter ADQ747935 as our replacement. This new filter does NOT FIT water leaks everywhere. The old filter is easy to place and remove.

Defect in design

Bought a new water filter tonight. It was the LT1000p LG replacement. The picture showing in the refrigerator is the new one but we had to modify the inside tabs in order for the new one to twist into the fixture. This is a problem because the Lowes label did the same exact thing. The two pictures with the filter in my hand was the one that went in with little effort and no modification. The CB20131 production run is what lg needs to go back to or they are going to have a lot of defective filters. Try again LG. I shouldnt have to do your work to make the correct filter size work for your product. Ive own the LG refrigerator for a year and a half and this is the third filter for it. The other two installed without and modifications or difficulty to install. This is hopefully just a production run issue.

We only use the LG filters since we tried others that said they were compatible but only led to problems and not fitting properly.
